IKEBANA LECTURE, DEMONSTRATION & WORKSHOP
The Japan Foundation in corporation with ISETAN Department Store , Udom Garden and THAI ORCHIDS CO., LTD. will jointly organize an IKEBANA Lecture , Demonstration and workshop by Michiko NAKAYAMA, a professional Japanese flower arrangement from Penang, Malaysia who has given the lectures on IKEBANA in Malaysia, Indonesia and other countries in Southeast Asia.

Ms. NAKAYAMA has published a book entitled “500 Years of IKEBANA”. She will give a lecture on the history and background of IKEBANA based on her book. In addition, she will demonstrate Japanese style flower arrangement called “Ikebana” and conduct a workshop on how you can do flower arrangement by using familiar materials you can find in your daily life.
