The Japan Foundation has organized the package design competition for Japanese and Korean design students twice since 2010. For the first time this year, the Japan Foundation invited Thai and Indonesian students to join the competition by launching the “Asia Student Package Design Competition” (ASPAC). In order to prepare participants for the ASPAC, the Japan Foundation has invited a package design expert from Japan to host a lecture covering topics on contemporary Japanese package design.  This workshop focused on package designing based on concepts. Our target participants were students who are interested in applying the ASPAC.
