Synopsis: Film director Eiji Sakata, was born in Saitama, Japan on April 3, 1975. He has been a producer of a number of popular TV shows and documentary TV programs. SUMODO is his first documentary feature film.

Japan’s first sumo documentary movie. The Sumo wrestlers, who weigh more than 150 kg, clash each other without any armors. This is a documentary film that chased after sumo wrestlers who dedicated their lives to sumo, such as severe rituals, spiritual trainings, fellowships, and a fight for life.
