The Japan Foundation, Bangkok in collaboration with Design for Disaster (D4D) and NPO +Arts, organized a disaster preparedness workshop and training for trainers of the “Red Bear Survival Camp in Thailand” at Somthawin School, Bangkok during 22 – 23 June, 2014. 200 volunteer disaster prevention and mitigation staffs, teachers, and students actively participated in the event. 13 new learning stations, which were invented in order to increase more amusement, would help preparedness for facing any circumstances by practicing both body and mind. The results of this project led to holding another two workshops. One was organized by “The Matches Group (Mai Kiit Fai)” and entitled “Child Centered on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)” held at Ing Tarn Resort, Nakornnayok province between 19th – 20th July 2014. There are approximately 48 children attending the workshop. The other, which organized by Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) cooperated with Local Administration Office of Tha Luang District, was held at Tha Luang Vittayanukil School on August 6, 2014.
