In order to promote the mutual understanding between Japan and Thailand as well as to enhance academic achievements on Japanese studies research project for young scholars, the Japan Foundation, Bangkok is proud to solicit applications for Small Grant for Japan-Related Research Projects in accordance with the following terms and conditions.
(I) Eligible Projects: Areas of Research
Any research project, mainly in the field of social sciences or humanities that is related to Japan. Comparative studies between Thailand and Japan are also included and eligible.
(II) Eligibility of Applicants:
(1) Scholars and Researchers (age below 40 years old)
Scholars and researchers who have either M.A. degree or equivalent professional experience at the time of application, and are planning to enroll in doctoral courses or conducting a new research related to Japan (comparative research included) with methods in the humanities and social sciences.
(2) Ph.D. students/Ph.D. candidates (age below 40 years old)
Those Ph.D. students/Ph.D. candidate must be currently enrolling into the doctoral courses. His or her research plan/thesis should focus on Japan in the field of humanities and social sciences (comparative research included).
The deadline of application submission is “Tuesday September 14th, 2021.”
